Airdrie had it's 100th Centennial B-day Celebrations and we got some pictures taken of the family...

These pictures we cheaper and the lady that took them did a better job then the expensive one's done at Sears. You can probably guess that we won't be going back to Sears again

My daughter will be the next t.s. elliot

So Lizzy decides that Jason needs a story read to him. She pulls out the classic animal story "The Ugly Duckling", sits down next to Jason -- who is absolutely enraptured of course -- opens the book to the middle and begins to "read":

"Hello Ducky the duck"
*turns page*
"Hello Ducky the duck"
*turns page*
"Hello Ducky the duck....TREE!"
*turns page*
"Hello Ducky the duck"

So yeah, if you thought that "The Ugly Duckling" was a story about an ugly child improbably growing up to be a beautiful swan, that story has now been deconstructed by my daughter to be about the greeting a a duck, whose name is Ducky.

I'm so proud!

As Promised

Well, I promised to post some more recent pictures so here is what Lizzy has been up to lately.

"Hey mom! Can we have beans for lunch? I'll even open the can and everything!" (Yes if Lizzy were speaking in longer sentences, they would have exclamation points on all of them)
"Your taking my PICTURE? Your taking MY picture?" Also Lizzy likes to help wash the dishes. Such help includes putting utensils in the utensil drawer (good) putting dirty dishes in the dish sink (good) and putting clean dishes in the dish sink (not good)

Lizzy reading a cookbook. I'm assuming it's a very good cookbook.

Lizzy in swimming lessons. The pool she does her swimming lessons in is quite cold, but our little girl is a trooper. And she really really loves swimming.

Ghost of Christmas and December of the past

Okay so we haven't updated in months.

Here are some pictures from last December.
Yep that's my cutie. And Lizzy too. Please ignore the glasses we have a rather energetic child.
And that's Lizzy with Gramdma and Grandpa's mutt of a dog.
And the whole family around 4 months ago. Yeah Lizzy is a lot bigger now. Also I just realized we are going to need a new pose next Christmas or my knees are going to be really sore

Here is Lizzy at the hall on Boxing day, tromping around like she owns the place.

And here is Lizzy on the sled at Grandma and Grandpa's Farm.

Coming soon.....

NEW pictures (yay!)
