Coming home from Edmonton yesterday we got onto the topic of the theory I had as a kid that Alberta was grouped according to letters which is why Calgary has so many c-named towns around it and Edmonton has so many e-named towns around IT. This led us to try to think of an Alberta town for each letter of the alphabet. So, I am going to post the list, but if you want to try on your own, just read the 4 rules then skip the rest of this post.
the rules:
1: You cannot use Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer, or any town that begins with the word Fort
2:We used a road atlas to help with Q, Y and Z and to check our answers so you can too
3:Don't bother finding X, there is no town in Alberta that starts with X
4: Towns DO include Cities, Hamlets and Villages!
ready?
Ready?
alright, here we go!
Airdrie, Balzac, Cochrane, Didsbury, Entwhistle, Falun (Hi Ryan!), Grimshaw, Hanna, Innisfail, Jofre, Kapaskiwin, Leduc, Mayerthorpe, Nanton, Oyen, Ponoka, Queenstown, Rocky Mountain House, Stavely, Three Hills, Usona, Valleyview, Wetaskiwin, X- there is no X, Youngstown, Zama City
and we are done. By the way, to get to Zama City, just head west on Zama road off of highway 35 north of Meander River. Here is their website!
how did you do?
I also think that Cayley should change thier name to Xanax or something so that X is covered. Maybe I'll start a letter writing campaign, likely I won't.
Also: I think I spend way to much time on the highways

Wow. You must have been bored. :-)
Glad to see that Wetaskiwin made it on your list!
You're such a nut...renaming towns to cater to your alphabet game!
You DO spend too much time driving! It's good thinking time though!
I think your game is good and will keep your kids entertained and educated for all those drives to see your families.
